• Details:  There is wonderful history behind this bowl.  It is 'Hospital Ware' from Gorham, made for the prestigious Stamford Hospital in Connecticut.  Used to serve patients in the 1920's, talk about eating in style!  This one is a smaller bowl, possibly used to serve fruit cocktail, sliced fresh fruits or cereal.  The bottom has several etched marks:  Stamford Hospital, Gorham, plus the Gorham impressed anchor logo. Some of the bowls also have a small icon used for the year 1925, (looks like a hand? fist?), letters EP and the model 04344. We have 5 available, (price is for one -1, bowl), all look exactly the same, but not all have the small icon for the year.  If the year icon is important to you, please use the Contact Us, or message us at check-out and let us know. • Materials:  Silverplate 
• Dimensions:  1.75 inches Tall, 4.5 inches in Diameter (top opening) and 2.75 inches in Diameter at base.
• Condition:  Antique - Used.  Very Good Antique Condition.  As with all used silver and silverplated items, there are surface scratches visible, minor signs of use, all acceptable due to age/use/wear.  We have five (5) available, all in similar condition.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  All Sales Final. All bowls are marked "Stamford Hospital".  The hospital was founded in the 1890's.  It is not-for-profit hospital and the central facility for Stamford Health.  It is the only hospital in the city of Stamford, Connecticut.  It is a very well known, prestigious hospital, that has received many awards and accolades.
